While everyone else seems to have been getting used to the idea of working from home, I was out and about today, for a change. Firstly I went to Winchester to select some bone samples to have radiocarbon dated, and then I went to Reading to bring Son2 and those belongings he has in the country back home. It’s nearly 8pm and Mr DA is still at work but hopefully he’ll soon be home to complete the set.

The lovely books pictured were in the research room this morning and date back to the 1700s.

In other news, Brian the gardener came this morning and I discovered that he has always kept a 16-pack of loo paper in the loft in case of emergencies.
