Photographic Poeticisms

Deep Freeze

Deep lies the fallen snow
Turning landscape white
Deep lies the fallen snow
Signalling battle's respite

Hard fell the rain to ground
Made rivers to overflow
Hard fell the rain to ground
Crops to drown, not to grow

Fast bred the mighty germ
When such conditions ruled
Fast bred the mighty germ
That left medicines fooled

Such illness have we seen
A plague upon the land
Such illness have we seen
So much yet to understand

Cold hits the silent frost
Deep freeze the germ to kill
Cold hits the silent frost
All awaits, dormant, still

Deep lies the fallen snow
Cold to halt the blight
Deep lies the fallen snow
At last, we have respite
