Photographic Poeticisms

Face

I imagine your face
Aged and wrinkled
Smiling
Your eyes
Laughter crinkled
And remember

I hear a laugh
Echo across the distance
Rolling
And floating
And in that instance
I remember

I walk the lanes
We walked arm in arm
Talking
Making plans
I, dazzled by your charm
Oh, how I remember

I cross the threshold
Over which I carried you
Newlyweds
So in love
The world was just us two
I remember

I sit on the settee
Where we sat side by side
Lonely
Missing you
Today, again, I've only cried
And remembered
