Celebrations

Strange things happen on W's birthday. In 1967 the oil tanker Torrey Canyon sank off the coast of Cornwall creating an environmental disaster. Two years ago we got snowed in to Devon and couldn't get home when the 'Beast from the East' hit, and now there is the virus. Some time ago we had booked to stay for the night at the two Michelin Star Restaurant Sat Bains in Nottingham tonight to celebrate her birthday and did think really hard about whether to cancel. But both of us so far feel well, we are fully prepared to isolate afterwards and having just had our archaeological tour of Turkey next month cancelled we thought we would take the chance. So here we are.

My pictures are of our suite which is beautiful and very comfortable. The way things are looking at the moment this may well be the only holiday we get this year so we intend to thoroughly enjoy it!
