The unforgiving minute...

"Black and White always looks modern
Whatever that means"

[Karl Lagerfeld]

I know, I know. If i'm going to quote Lagerfeld, it should have been a camellia not an orchid.

Today was a bit of a rubbish day. (In fact I've had a couple of rubbish days. Hence the back-blipping).

However, on a cheerier note:
My extremely wise 4yr old made me think of this theme today.
We were talking about dinosaurs, (as you do) and whether the last ones around actually knew they were going to be the last ones, and if they did, what if they'd left a message for us, like a time capsule ...

Where would you leave a time capsule message if you were a virtually extinct stegasaurus?

Well in case you don't know ... the obvious answer is Tesco's! Duh!!

I hesitantly pointed out that Tesco's *may not* have been around 65 million years ago (not wanting to burst her bubble), and she looked at me with all the haughty disdain that only a 4 year old can muster, and said

"Well OBVIOUSLY, Tesco's the SHOP wouldn't have been there then, but the ground it's on would have been, because the GROUND has been there for ever. Didn't they have History lessons when you were at school Mama?"

That's me in my place then.

So, Black and white, Blast from the past, where I belong apparently.
:-)
