Sticky buds

This tree is just bursting into leaf. Appropriate for the spring equinox.
Did another good garden session this morning and took myself off for a decent walk and birdwatching session for the afternoon.
Watched some singing chiffchaffs, got a good view of some black tailed godwits and watched a huge flock of widgeon (300+) along with lots of other waterfowl.
Year list currently at 85.
Unfortunately just burned my thumb quite badly on an oven rack - ow ow ow.
