A little bit of colour...

A wee breathe of air in the garden was most enjoyable.

Poor David has a very sore foot.  An infected chilblain of all things!  He phoned the Health Centre and the GP wanted to see him.  

After dousing himself in sanitiser, he entered the deserted health centre.  Doc examined him without touching him and has prescribed antibiotics.  He was instructed to draw a line around the inflammation in black felt tip and if the redness and swelling has breached that tomorrow morning, he'll be prescribed a stronger antibiotic.  He's also been instructed to keep his foot elevated, which he is doing, but is bored stiff.  Lots of Lola cuddles though so that's a bonus.  

R, our regular dog walker has been brilliant and is managing to take Lola extra walks whilst D can't.  She's still bored though as not getting her second walk, so we are preparing games to play with her and have looked out her snuffle mat that she loved as a puppy.  

My lovely friend Alice is in hospital recovering from fairly intensive and unexpected surgery.  We messaged back and forth today.  It makes me so sad that I can't visit her.  Marie has been a star and has arranged for our little group to have a cyber get together at 3.00pm on Saturday using Zoom.  I'd never heard of it but feel I am about to be very grateful it exists!  Might even go as far as putting some lippy on for the get together :D 

Alice is still in hospital (in a 4 bay room with three old men) so may not be able to join in but hopefully once she's home, she can take part.

The other event of the day was me losing my temper at the reports of people refusing to follow the social distancing measures and continuing to visit pubs, cafes etc.  What is wrong with people?!!  Such a shame there's no cure for Stupiditis.

And now just about to do an online Tesco order.  All items can be substituted so will be interesting to see what will actually arrive (if anything!) compared to what's been ordered.  We could make a guessing game of this :-)
