The Lone Pruner

Today's the day ……………………. for the chop

Will has isolated himself in the garden today where he has been pruning the apple trees.

It was a long job that took him well into the evening to complete.  They didn't get any pruning last year because we were new to apple trees - and so there were lots and lots of spindly shoots right on the crown of the trees that had to be cut.

The good news is that this picture was taken at 6.45pm and as you can see, there's still light in the sky.  So the days are getting longer - in more ways than one, it would seem …………………..
