Saturday: Fern Fronds & Pheasant

Up before 6 this morning because the wind has turned and was howling from the East. 
Washing dried outdoors in the wind.
Noticed that the ferns are putting out new growth ... the pheasant is still around, but not as noisy!
MrD has started replacing rotten slats of wood into the panels at the back of the vegetable garden, it’s very quiet so no one to complain or disturb him.
Made big pan of leek and potato soup which was tasty on a cold day.
Did lots of family history and think I’ve identified my great grandfather’s brother who took over ownership of their family ship.
Very tired tonight.
