Britain shuts down

 “`Britain shuts down”-the headline on today’s Guardian newspaper, the least sensational of all newspaper screamed this morning. (see  extra
photo). 
 - Surely I was dreaming”
No it’s the new world we live in.
 
Even though we live on the edge of the countryside in Bridge of Allan Saturday is normally a busy day with a lot of local activity. Today an eerie silence hung over Allan Glen.
 
So far attempts to order an online supermarket delivery have failed.  These were the delivery dates offered:
Tesco- two weeks, Morrison- 3 weeks
 Waitrose and Sainsbury- nothing.


 So we settled for a Tesco “click and collect” in ten days time. Fortunately the local Co-op will provide most stuff.
 
So M got on his bike and went there.

But he found the shelves empty of milk, bread and citrus fruits.
