At the Nets
A fisherman at his nets on a cold January day. Who would follow such an occupation? Him from his father and his son also.
Catch from the harbour just prawns nowadays which are sent to France, Spain and Italy but not locally.
He tells me that when they catch fish accidently when fishing for there sole catch of prawns they must throw them back into the sea even though they are already dead. The beneficiaries are the seals. There are now huge numbers which follow the boats right into the harbour and this will of course lead to even less fish. Another unexpected side effect of the EU fisheries policy.
