Skipping through the Pandemic

With all my favourite diversions closed, I had to have a strategy to keep boredom at bay.
My mood was not helped by having to cancel my ferry bookings to Orkney in June because B&Bs are not allowed to accept bookings, quite rightly.
It would be very selfish to holiday in an island and expect to take up a scarce critical bed if one falls ill, thereby denying a local that facility. Still is hard to know that something I so looked forward to is now not going to happen.

With the gym closed it was time for a little exercise to up the heart rate. My pink skipping rope which has been abandoned for more than a year was brought out of retirement and 5 sessions of 100 skips were performed throughout the day in the patio in the full glare of passers by beyond the railings. I might start charging for the spectacle. There were also 2 walks round the policies keeping my distance from anyone else. It was disappointing to see some millennials still gathering for a game of football. They still don’t get the reason for distancing.

My extra image is of Nina and Ewan being home schooled - the subject, Photosynthesis. Wow, I feel I should perhaps have a copy of the lesson!!
