Raven

A favourite walk today from The Loons along to Marwick and over Marwick Head to Birsay Palace. Grey the whole way, but it stayed dry. The bird of the day was a very early house martin on Marwick Head, usually the first record is the second or third week of April. A pair of ravens there too and this one was quite close. I don't think it is the raven that would come very close and allow great portraits, but I could be wrong. Two pair of shelduck at Marwick were also nice.
