The Corona Diaries, day #8

Monday... locked down for 8 days now but Monday still makes a difference as I'm still working. A new round of school work for the kids too. We didn't venture out at all today. Officially we're still allowed out for necessities (France=bread) and for exercise (=a couple of km around the block), but nothing is really clear and it just seems sensible to stay inside and make do.
We live in the countryside and could no doubt venture out across the fields without meeting a soul... but then again, don't all souls think the same thing?
Worked from 7:00 to 17:00 then set the rest of the potatoes. If only we'd got chickens a few months ago when we talked about it and we'd be sorted!

Just seen Prime Minister Johnson's announcement and know how it feels. Love and lots of luck to all - pull together while staying apart - that's what we're supposed to do, hey? 


Edit: just to have a little moan that has no importance at all in the grand scale of things... these lovely tulips that line my front path were all meant to be purple! Pale red verging on pink is vaguely close to purple, I can just about accept, but who's that yellow intruder there?!
