Murky Depths

Fun with a polariser.

When the ice melted some time over a week ago, the lake water was clear. Now it's turned a murky dark green, presumably from plant life beginning to rejuvenate.


Quite a different feeling to Nature Mark Making that I took a few days ago. These reeds are short and stubby and more regular. I took a second shot (extra), without the polarising effect, turning the water surface to a mirror and emphasizing the reflections.

I preferred the orange stalks on a dark green background.
