Golden slumbers
On our walk through the woods Raki took one sniff and moved on, but that was enough to draw my attention to this polecat, curled up on the path as if sleeping. They do sleep a lot, I gather, but this one was never going to wake.
Posted in memoriam Julie Felix, Albert Uderzo, my daughter-in-law's grandmother Jan Waygood and my old friend and colleague Ray Huggins. May they sleep peacefully on the path.
