Wound up in Wexford

Roses in March

I've blipped this rose a couple of times previously.  It had a very late flower last autumn, and then this flower has been slowly developing over the last month.

I took a trip to the supermarket this morning.  The shelves were well stocked - though there was still very little rice and pasta, and no toilet rolls.  They had a small amount of flour - but not the wholemeal bread flour on my list, and no dried yeast or dried pulses.  There was no queue to get in, but actually I think this meant there were too many people in the store.  I was not happy - it was difficult to keep a decent distance from everyone.

This afternoon, I did some ironing, and realised that the new position for the ironing board gives me a great view out into the garden to watch the birds on the feeders.  The only disadvantage is that the settee, which is the only place clear enough for the folded clothes, is across the other side of the room.  But that is doing good things for my steps!

W has been busy creating a stand for his tablet that allows it to be attached to the treadmill.  Back in 2017, we tried to put a TV in the office, but couldn't get it to work.  So I read my Kindle whilst on the bike, and W (who has got into the habit of watching mindless TV whilst on the treadmill at the gym) needed some entertainment.  All set now for tomorrow.
