Backblip

Sunset on the first day of lock down.

It was with a heavy heart that I went to church this morning and said morning prayer in there for the last time for the forseeable future. I then had to close the building down, ensuring everything was off. Then it was the same over in the hall as well, shutting everything down and also putting up the new posters as directed. It all took me longer than expected.

I packed up all the files I would need and brought them back to the vicarage to establish the office here for now to avoid me having to leave the house.

I spent most of the afternoon on the phone to various people. There's going to be a lot of that in the coming weeks.

There are certainly people about but it has gone a lot quieter, with minimal noise from traffic.

This evening I managed a first and got Mum playing Rummikub with me through the internet!

I also made a discovery. I like the recliner of my new suite. When I say recliner I really meant one that has a leg support that comes out. When I first got it I also discovered that it titled slightly when that happens which has made it really comfy and is great for using the laptop on my knee as well. Tonight I was on the phone and needed to stretch, in doing so I suddenly discovered that the back does tilt back! In fact it goes all the way and can be nearly flat! It was a strange sensation at first. They should have sent instructions with it, how was I supposed to know it did that without an extra button to press. :-))
