The Old Forge (Thursday 26th March 2020)

The blossom on the cherry plum tree has been out for quite a long while now, but the new potted plum in the patio area is only now unfolding, ahead of the apple tree sapling in the pot beside it. This time I used a +2 close-up filter to try to get an image.

In my 2010 reading world I have reached the April Mojo and played the Mojo Presents Dream Pop CD. The disc closes with this track, which I didn't know I knew, but which was surprisingly familiar.
Turns out it was used in an award-winning 2008 Schweppes Lemonade advertisement called Burst. Subsequently it turned up in several different TV shows, movies, and adverts, including Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy,  One Tree Hill, Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Suits, Friday Night Lights, This Is Us, The Gifted and, probably where I last heard it, Orange Is The New Black. The song features Patrick Watson (vcl, pno) and was a single taken from Ma Fleur.
