Zoffany blue plaque
Day 8
Cycled to Kew and back today. Found this blue plaque very near the river at Strand on the Green, Chiswick, near Kew Bridge.
Zoffany was a German neoclassical painter who worked mainly in England,Italy and India. He was a founding member of the Royal Academy. He painted Queen Charlotte and David Garrick the actor who lived in Hampton( see yesterdays blip for his house) . Zoffany died in this house and is buried very near in the churchyard of St Anne’s church, Kew. See house in extras.....wisteria will son be flowering.
Tasks today
- planted some rocket and radish seeds in a trough.
- bike ride, 14 miles, to Kew and back
- ordered a takeaway from New Mexican restaurant and used Ubereats for the first time. Efficient and delicious!
