Enid Blyton and Alfred Bestall

Today I cycled to see the blue plaques of the children’s book author Enid Blyton 1897-1968( at Chessington where she lived 1920-1924) and Alfred Bestall the illustrator of Rupert Bear 1892-1986 (at Surbiton where he lived 1936-1966).
We still have Noddy and Rupert books from my childhood!

Day 9
- cycled to Surbiton and Hook...took about the same amount of time as it usually takes in the car! Car journey usually slow due to traffic and lots of traffic light queues.
- planted some Swiss chard
- FaceTime with both children and families
- ordered birthday presents for both grandchildren...for May and June in case stocks run out.
