Escape

Just about our first trip outside in a week, exercise still allowed. The cycle paths and parks were packed with joggers, cyclists, boot camps, desperate families. Even though we tried to choose what we thought would be an unpopular route.

It was supposed to be my daughter’s musical performance (cancelled and she didn’t feel like attending the substitute zoom party). Also supposed to be the big birthday celebration we were hosting for my mother-in-law (80, stuck in Sydney) and brother-in-law (54, stuck in Geeveston) but we had to do without their fine company (or fresh produce).

Instead, we dined on freshly made bread (our flour almost depleted), sprays, sprouts and cabana for lunch, home made refrained beans with guacamole and sour cream for dinner. Morgan Spurlock’s Super Size Me for dessert.

Productive afternoon gardening, repairing leather chair, playstation with kids, and video calls with family.

Tonight I hope to get started on Cassandra Pybus’ Trugannini - a treasured birthday present from my parents. Only 15 days ago but it seems a lifetime!
