Peace and tranquility at Barton House

We went for a long walk to Lockinge this morning; enjoying the last forecast day of sunshine for a while.  It was very quiet.

Have always liked the look of Barton House.  It is now mainly used as a wedding and events venue; but it looks particularly lovely at Christmas, with a tree in the large bay window.  Even now I can imagine a wood fire glowing and crackling in the grate.
