Ellerbeck Farm

Yesterday we drove to our walk in order to avoid a farm. Today, shamed by yesterday's comments we set off from home.  We are surrounded by public footpaths in the beautiful Lyth Valley, in fact one goes from the corner of our property  but we are also surrounded by farms. Mr P designed a 7km route but the first farm we came to , at junction of footpaths had "Keep Out" signs on the gates. I don't blame them . We zig zagged from paths to  tracks to roads and managed 5.5km without any more blockages. We passed this farm on a road so no trouble in nipping in to capture their heap of derelict tractor bits. They know us anyway; the farmer's wife delivers milk and eggs to our front door. 
I hope they are not offended that their farm features in Derelict Sunday , they had some nice cows too ( extra)
