A new place to hike

Thursday
An excited Laura on the phone this morning, to say she is booked on the repatriation flight tomorrow, leaving at 10 am her time, 3 am our time. One of her fellow teachers, also single, is also on the flight. The bad thing about this flight is that it comes into JFK in New York, not a place you want to be at present. Uncertain whether she will be able to make the evening flight to Cincinnati, she decided it would be best to book the morning flight Saturday morning, and book a hotel for the night, even though that is opening her up further to more contamination. Roger will keep an eye on the progress of the flight (about 13 hours) and if things look promising, will change the booking - unlikely to be a problem at this time!
We discovered a new place to walk  this afternoon at French Park, a Hamilton County Park in Amberley village, a very attractive, and rather affluent area of Cincinnati, and home to a sizeable  Jewish population. The park occupies the former estate of Herbert Greer French, who bequeathed the land with its red brick manor built in the early 1900s to the Cincinnati Park Board, following his death in 1942. The house is available to rent for special events, while the park contains several hiking trails through the woods and beside the creek. It was a lovely day, and we had an enjoyable walk
