Long Walk
Today felt like I needed to get out up Kirkton Hill which is up and over Buckie Braes from our house. It has fab views of the Ochils and the earn valley. We did meet a few folks on the way but everyone was respectful of the distancing rules. It was wonderful at the top of the hill seeing as far as Dundee and over to East Lomond hill and also Craig Rossie at Auchterarder. Worked wonders on clearing out my head. Who cries when Cracklin’ Rosie is played on the radio!! Me, cos the last time we belted this out was a party in the house earlier in the year, everyone together having fun and laughter with no distancing of families and friends.
Walked home a different way and met our brickie Barry in his garden so stopped for a chat. As we were chatting a guy was cycling past on his bike with his border terrier running, off lead, alongside. Of course it stopped to see Breagha who was totally disinterested in it apart from when it wanted to sniff her backside which she hates and usually gives a warning snarl . It didn’t take heed of the warning or the owner shouting it back (it’s a terrier so typical kind of it’s own). so the guy hand to come over to us to get the dog. I told him that dogs aren’t allowed off leads at the moment for this particular reason and he said he had no idea - aye right you didn’t - idiot!
Tea and chat to mum later.
Daughter informed me Ben was a bit emotional later on didn’t want to watch any film that was sad and then promptly burst into tears. I said he should start up his feelings journal again and she said this to him but he said he didn’t want to ever remember this time :(. Oh god I miss them.
And they are also missing cuddling Breagha and her funny wee ways.
