Chitting

You might be looking forward to a book delivery from Amazon, your groceries arriving from Morrisons, or a letter from your great aunt. But I’ve been waiting patiently for the arrival of a dozen seed potatoes from Thompson and Morgan. Exciting, eh?
These are second earlies, and are called “Kestrel”. As you can see, they’re sitting on the kitchen windowsill to chit - grow small sprouts - before being planted out later in April. By July we should have a crop of new potatoes.
