Football

With no football and indeed no sport at all to enjoy, it’s a challenge finding new ways to experience the things that would be part of normal everyday life. The girls and I are season tickets holders at Turf Moor, so we’re missing our regular fix of Premier League football and our visits to my old home town.

Fortunately, Burnley have introduced a Back To The Fixture feature and today they “live” streamed our Championship game against Blackburn Rovers which took place exactly six years ago. So we settled down on the sofa at the regular three o’clock kick off time and watched the Clarets again collect three points from Ewood Park. The photo shows Danny Ings celebrating his winning goal. It’s not quite the same as attending a live game, but it’s a very good second best.
