Bumbu Rendang
You should have seen what auto text did to the title of this blip - well, maybe not.
The title refers to a Sumatran dish. At Christmas, friends gave us a lovely pack of spices and sauces. To provide variety during social distancing we tried one today with a beef mince base. It was delicious and flavoursome.
The blip is of a bowl of outdoor hyacinths we look out onto from the kitchen window.
The dog walk was round the streets today. I’ve noticed that everyone is saying hello, or thanks, or just acknowledging that we are all keeping our distance. It’s beginning to feel a bit like living in France where you say Bonjour to people when they catch your eye.
Just need the 2 syllable Scottish equivalent of “Bonjour”.
