Frost free

For a brief spell the sun came out and I captured this camellia bloom with blue sky behind.

We have 3 camellias in the garden: a pink, a red and this one which gets hit badly by frost and cold nights. The others seem more resilient. The petals will often have brown edges. But not today.

After work on church papers, spent some time chopping up the forsythia I cut back the other day. Now in the recycling bin or in a pile of long branches for when the tip opens up again. when the sun came out it was lovely: under cloud, chilly.
