WW2 Blockhouse

This concrete blockhouse - now almost hidden amongst the shrubs - was originally built in the 1940s in preparation for any invasion force that might get more than 80 miles from the British coast!!
When we first moved here in the 1970s our son then aged less than 10, used to roam around with his friend and they made a secret den inside, which we parents knew nothing about!! We only discovered years later what they got up to! It is much more overgrown now.
