Female Red Squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris)

After yesterday's rant not a lot to say today.  Soon after drawing the curtains I saw the squirrel.  Unusually it was still on the trunk and even more unusually there were no twigs between it and me for the camera to focus on.

Under the current lockdown there isn't much to comment on other than thank goodness Birds' Bistro deliver.  Usually on a Thursday to our village but because of the high number of orders they were coming today, so 1 hour after ordering there it was sitting on the drive.

Oh for those of you who gaze out of your window at birds Any birds) the BTO are offering participation in their garden Birdwatch during the lockdown and waiving the usual membership fee.  The website is bto.org/our-science/projects/gbw.   It might be a pleasant and useful way of filling some time.
