Clear Skies After da Snaw

A cold windy day.  There was snow on the hills and ground first thing, with snow and hail showers all day.  It cleared by 4pm, with a sunny spell.  The odd wintery shower tonight.

Up early and off to work in the living room.  Another day working through old photos.  Not a day for the garden, but finally got out with Sammy in the afternoon.  Another quiet night by the fire.  Tonight there was more clapping and cheering for carers and essential workers, this time with bagpipes playing too.  Coronavirus cases in Shetland now stand at 30, and heard 23 of that have recovered.

Next door's house renovations have stopped for the time being, but scaffolding is still up around the house.  This is giving me an opportunity to get some fine views over the village and my neighbourhood.  This is next door, Mark and Carina's house, and the neighbouring houses up the road.  Great to see the blue skies, after such a horrid morning.  Taken from Houl Road, Scalloway.
