Rainbow

It's rather lovely walking round the village and seeing rainbows - I especially like this bottled rainbow!
I finished the syrup today - it came out a very dark colour - maybe from the light muscovado sugar I used? It is quite tasty - definitly butterscotch mixed with a a strong toffee! The only thing I am not sure about is whether I am allergic to it! My upper lip felt swollen after tasting it! I will try some again tomorrow! Maybe I could sell it as an alternative to lip fillers - a natural way to give you beekissed lips! Maybe that's why bees like them so much! I was surprised by how many of you were worried about me stealing a valuable source of pollen from the bees. Let me assure you that dandelions are prolific on the allotment and all over calstock, and with them and the daffodils, celandines and now the bluebells, not to mention the magnolias, there is plenty for them to feast upon!
I was on the plot in the evening, digging my potato trenches whilst waiting for the hens to put themselves to bed, when I heard a group of people making merry. What on earth were they doing when people should be socially isolating? Then i heard more noise coming from the village and realised it was the NHS clap of appreciation. There were drums and dustbins being banged, hollers, shouts, car horns and even some fireworks! I must admit it brought tears to my eyes to hear them all. I'm not sure the hens were so impressed - they had disappeared into the coop when I looked over at them!
