For our friends in Australia

Olivia has a new Australian boy in her class and today he and his Mum came in with gifts for the class - a little koala, flag and the best chocolate cupcake with pink icing that Olivia has ever had, apparently, to celebrate Australia Day. I think Tom is one of her new best friends now!

In other news Olivia was invited to her first 'proper' play date after school today. We rushed home after school so that she could change into something beautiful and as we were leaving she hugged Dexter and told him that he would be asleep by the time she got back but he wasn't too worry and she would play with him tomorrow. On our way to the car she looked at me and said: "I'm going to miss little Dex" and "I'm such a grown up girl now going to a Tea party." She was so excited and so sweet at the same time that I could have wept.
When hubby picked her up she said she had had a great time at Nicole's house but she told us that she was so busy playing and exploring the house that she didn't eat anything!
