Little friend

The lovely country road that leads to the Nelson, our brilliant pub, is bound to be crazy busy later. I headed out earlier than usual because, although I’m missing people, I still wanted some time to enjoy the morning quiet.

I think the horse owners and the farmer who has the Highland cattle have all decided their livestock needs to be further from the thoroughfare. Only one of the horses came up to say hello, and when I walked back, even this one was in a fenced area further back. (Extra)

I came across two other walking couples and one jogger, but otherwise I had the world to myself.

Just near the deserted pub, this little robin posed nicely.
