Carder Bee

Spent quite a bit of time in the garden. Mulching and tidying.

This common carder bee (I’ve checked my bee identification book) landed on the viola tub.

J planted them the day before the lockdown was announced, nearly 2 weeks ago. The world has turned upside down for us since then.

As it’s early, I guess she is a queen. She has a busy few weeks and months ahead.
