Going for a Walk

PD had an extra accessory to wear on his walk today.  Yesterday our state governor told us all to wear masks when we're out of the house until further notice.  He stressed that they should not be medical masks that are desperately needed by our health care workers and suggested we make our own cloth masks.  Then he modeled his mask and pledged to wear it.  Later in the day the president sent out a confusing mixed message about wearing masks.  One thing he really stressed is that it's voluntary and it was his choice not to wear one.  He was concerned about how he would look when he's sitting behind his "Resolute" desk in the oval office.  Great message to the citizens.  I am grateful that he repeatedly says that the state governors should take care of their own states and not depend on the federal government.  I'm much more secure with our governor in charge!

Anyway.....I got out my sewing machine this morning, found some scrap material and made 2 masks each for PD and me and 1 each for Becky and Darrin.  See my extra for a closer look at the masks but don't look too closely because I'm not a great seamstress!  We have N95 masks that I will continue to wear when I have to go to a store but for walking and biking, the cloth masks will do and they're much more stylish. ;-)

Because my eyes are tired, I won't be commenting tonight but I will sprinkle stars because I hate to get behind on your journals. :-)

Take care and stay well!!
