Saturday: Theresa and Others

We heard that shops in Gastown, which have closed during the coronavirus, have given up their boarded outsides to local artists, so we took a drive down to have a look.  There are a number of murals to the various heroes of the moment.  Here is Dr Theresa Tam, Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer.  Other murals were to some of the provincial public health officers who are keeping us on the straight and narrow as well as to the health workers.

While we were down in Gastown we saw a local restaurant doing takeaway coffees so I got a couple.  They were disproportionately grateful for the business - we had a chat through a sellophane barrier and they said times were really hard.
