Pulsatilla Vulgaris Alba

Slept well, was awake and up a bit earlier this morning, with the promise of a warm sunny day ahead.......what a load of rubbish that was!

We had breakfast in the kitchen looking out at the thick cloud, the trees swaying about in the wind......we popped outside, not very warm at all, on went the radiator in the summerhouse we had our coffee sat inside.

We decided to get into our gardening clothes and repotted a couple of clematis, which we then repositioned along the edge of our newest patio, leant up againt the trellis, with two others already in pots. We tied in the newest growth, the hope is that they will create a nice screen in time.

Next we moved our four blueberry bushes onto an area that we have weeded and dug over...they are going to stay in their pots until we decide whether to plant them in the ground or not. We placed some small stone pavers left over from the patio work, inbetween the pots to create a chequerboard effect and have placed all the pots containing our various herbs on top of the pavers....it looks really quite nice!

I tied in all the new growth on our various clematis in the back border, plenty of flower buds too,.....hub repaired the screens we use to cover the pond.

We had a full english for lunch, always a nice treat. I also had some veg that needed using, so made a tagine with aubergine, courgettes, to atoes, green pepper, onions and carrots, with garlic, chilli, passata, chicken stock & sprinkled with el ras hanout, smells divine. Have frozen two portions and one in the fridge for tomorrow.

We decided to get out for a walk around 5.30 as we thought it might be the quietest time in terms of encountering other folk taking their daily exercise. Hubs knee hasnt been brilliant, pretty sure its because hes not been walking enough really.....we managed 5000 steps alog our top road then back onto the estate, walked home the longer way round. Saw a guy pushing, his child and one, other couple out walking.....a few cars, but very quiet...good!
As we were walking past our front garden I noticed our whilte pulsatilla had opened in the sunhsine.....such a pretty flower, so clicked it and now blipped it :-)

Once back, we sat in thr garden for half an hour as the sun appeared, better late than never I guess! We had roast chicken dinner with brocoli, carrots and sugar snap peas for dinner, by the time we finished and sat down to relax it was 7.45pm.

A few things to watch on tv tonight......we Re enjoying The Nest :-)
