Deep Water Reds, Aylesford
Not much of a walk today as got caught by the level crossing barriers leading to the village twice. Both times the barriers were down for about fifteen minutes. The second time, after a very long wait, no train appeared at all - very strange!
In between the barrier waiting I went to take today's photograph at the "swamp" in the village. In reality, it is about two or three acres of scrubby trees (often leaning at off kilter angles) and stagnant water pools enclosed by football pitches, an old tennis court, a supermarket distribution warehouse and a main road! Yet, sometimes, on occasion it looks much grander and mysterious like an undiscovered or long neglected wood. When the light is right it is a such an interesting place to take images, with the added bonus it's only a short walk from home.
