Angle Shades
We were delighted to discover this luminously yellow-green caterpillar on our back garden fence this evening. We later identified it as the larva of the Angle Shades moth (Phlogophora meticulosa).
Although it might seem startlingly visible to potential predators in the main photo, in fact (as today's 'Extra' shows) it was generally quite well camouflaged by the foliage of one of the Goji plants growing up against the fence. We only noticed the caterpillar because the stems were blowing around a bit in the breeze, leaving it exposed at times.
