Last Day in Single Digits

Miss L is ten tomorrow. Double digits!
As usual we had to stay up too late wrapping her presents and writing her card.
I spent most of the day engrossed in writing my book. It’s writing itself at the moment and I’m having that weird sensation that I’ve heard writers talk about where the characters take on lives of their own and try as you might to get them to go in a certain direction they end up going in another. Very odd!
I had bought a card and a present for Miss L from Miss E but Miss E was quite sweet and insisted on going out with Mr K to get her own card and present. Choices are limited at 3pm on Sunday afternoons in Buckingham but she got a really lovely card and some chocolate.
