Restless in Autumn

Autumn is my favourite time in Canberra, as long as the sun is shining and the air is still. Today was glorious, and the autumn colours are much better enjoyed from my new sunroom office than the dingy Nishi building. However, the children are a little discontent and restless, their minds wandering further afield. My daughter misses her friends and it’s still uncertain what the year will mean for my son, in Year 12 and hoping to go to uni next year. I think an announcement should be made at the end of the week.

A very welcome grocery delivery today, not much else of note. Fish pie and baked tomato for dinner, followed by a dumbbell session to Taylor Swift when we finally got our dumb smart speaker working. Very late night last night but my daughter did get her HASS assignment in before the stroke of midnight.

Reading - finished chapter 1 of Trugannini, enjoying and I think my daughter would too, given here passion for her recent assignment on the effects of colonization. Husband reading The Rise and Fall of Gunns Ltd, my son a book on football statistics, my daughter Stephen King’s It
