Rogerley Fluorite
My husband finally got around to photographing some Rogerley fluorite he picked up at Munich in 2018, getting ready to list in his eBay store. Generating quite a bit of interest, which is no wonder since they are absolutely stunning. Tricky to capture though.
One more day to the school holidays and mine yay. Our NZ trip was going to be awesome, we were so pumped to be doing Alps to Ocean, visit Queenstpwn and the fjords, get in some good hiking. Ah well, it will be nice to take a break from work anyway.
The main story of the day was my daughter’s miscreance. We’ve been pretty full on about isolation but when she begged to meet her best friend for a walk I couldn’t say no (we are allowed out with 1 other for exercise after all). Noting her handbag and recalling their fondness for the local shop I observed that I hoped picking up lots of lollies wasn’t on the agenda and a bike ride or kick of soccer would be more appropriate. She seemed compliant but was super evasive when questioned on her return so I made her take a shower and promise not to do it again. She had a great catch up anyway!
Delicious clay pot chicken for dinner, prosciutto cheese bread for lunch, my husband really spoiled us.
My daughter was allegedly busy with her science assignment (can you submit them on instagram?) so the rest of us indulged in another doco. This one was BBC’s Pandemic, made in 2018 and hopelessly optimistic. My son is into data big time and my husband’s a medical scientist (when he’s not selling minerals), so it was more popular than last night’s Four Corners on Amazon (which sent hubby to sleep), or the previous night’s Moon Wars which was strangely disappointing.
