A place in time

Small treasures

These two wooden hand-crafted items usually sit on my dressing table.  In my eyes they are both truly beautiful.

The wonky wee chest of drawers is carved from a single piece of wood and I bought it as a treat for myself in a lovely gift shop in Aberfeldy in 2016 when I was the support driver for Mr A's Lands End to John O'Groats solo cycle ride, while the earring tree was cut on a lathe and something I found on eBay, being sold by the guy who made them.

Aren't some people clever?

Thought for the day:

"He who works with his hands is a labourer.  He who works with this hands and his head is a craftsman.  He who works with this hands and his head and his heart is an artist."  (Francis of Assisi)
