Kaikoura south side

A deserted beach south of Kaikoura. Grey sand, the bleached remains of trees and the patrolling terns looking for a snack are the only constants. However offshore is a cruise ship which just popped in to deposit several hundred folk into Kaikoura. Good business for the denizens of Kaikoura but if you happen to arrive at the same time it's like the January sales - or so I'm told. My wife calls them prison ships.
