Amazing thaw...

has melted a huge amount of snow cover from the Plateau. Looking at the Ptarmigan restaurant,  below the summit of Cairngorm itself, I can see that what was totally covered a few days ago is now bare.
A beautiful, sunny morning, with bees buzzing, and birds singing, turned into a disappointing afternoon, but much warmer now.
Managed to get off piste in the woods to find myself wading through thigh deep heather! Good exercise!
Only two on the golf course, one in the extra and his mate sitting on a nest in the rough!
