Looking up
I think many of us are watching the daily Coronavirus stats every day. Today, the UK has recorded the highest number of deaths in one day, 938, which is not unexpected. This number will rise as we reach the peak. Here we are looking at numbers but these are people, loved by others - just awful to think about the pain and loss these families are feeling right now. Worryingly Spain's death toll is rising again as they tried to relax some restrictions. I do wonder about China's figures, have they been fudged or not?
Some good news - Meriel's 86 year old granny is being discharged from hospital today after being treated for Covid-19, a wonderful outcome.
I cannot believe it is almost the Easter weekend. we should have been in Switzerland this week, the boys were to come out for the weekend to ski but no use thinking about that now. I doubt restrictions will be lifted next week so we have to just sit tight and carry on staying at home, staying safe.
I am reading a terrific book at the moment, American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins, worth a look.
Thanks to Freyjad for hosting Wide Wednesday (it is Wednesday, isn't it?) with the theme of Looking Up.
