Much achieved
including a sneaky bit of sushi.
Appointments made, a fun shop in the market in Palma, the camera delivered for repair in a lovely dusty workshop in the outskirts, guitar strings bought and discussed, boys collected and fed, then packed for and despatched for the weekend. Much cooking during the afternoon and then friends descended for a fun evening.
The gossip in the market was the price of pine nuts. Chinese imports are 35 ? per kilo, but the Spanish ones, bigger and tastier by far, are 60? per kilo and the price has gone up four times this week. I joked with the lovely stall keeper that she was as much a banker as a trader with her stall of treasure. I gasped in horror when I saw a few seeds left in the bottom of the dishwasher.
